General Building Material.
General Building Material supplies drywall, steel framing, insulation, ceiling tiles and finishing supplies to contractors across Southern Ontario, and delivers them by boom truck right onto the floor where the crew works. We built their online store, where a contractor can find the exact board, price it and order or ask for a quote in minutes, and we run the Google Ads that bring those contractors in.
Inside the site.
Contractors buy in bulk, in a hurry and often from the job site. GBM needed a store that works like their counter: the whole catalogue with real prices and stock, a fast way to price a big order, and delivery that is clear before anyone picks up the phone.
We built the store on WordPress and WooCommerce around the way crews search: by category, brand, size and stock. Every product page shows the price, the sizes and pickup at the Mississauga warehouse, and the quote form asks exactly what the sales team needs to price a job.
The store now carries 264 products in 12 categories, from drywall and steel studs to insulation and ceiling tiles. A contractor can filter, compare, order or send a quote request from a phone on site, and our Google Ads campaigns bring in the people already searching for these materials.
About the project.
The home page leads with what contractors care about: competitive prices, delivery to the job site and boom-truck placement into basements, second floors or high-rises. Two shortcuts sit right under the headline: buy drywall now, or request a quote and get a call back with live pricing.
The shop narrows 264 products by price, category, brand, size and stock, and lets crews compare items side by side. Each category opens with one clear line, like standard, moisture and fire-rated drywall in every length, and each product page carries the specs, the sizes and the pickup option.
The quote form is built for real orders: contact details, the delivery address, the date the materials are needed, whether a lift is required, the best way to call back and a checklist of materials. The contact page and FAQ answer what usually slows a sale down: inside placement, pickup, price matching and payment.
